Hope Through Unity
At Himilo, our vision is of a thriving, united, and empowered Somali community in Wales. We envision a society where Somali people, families, and organisations are fully included, influential, and supported to achieve their aspirations across every aspect of life – from education and employment to health, culture, and civic participation.
The word Himilo means hope, vision, and ambition – and that is exactly what we represent: a collective hope and shared purpose for a better future built by and for Somali communities across Wales.
We are proud to be founded by 12 Somali-led organisations from across Wales who have come together to form the Somali Cymru Alliance. These founding members have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), committing to our shared vision, mission, and goals for the greater good of our communities.
